Marc Wieland (of Autograph), Passionate Living & Rock Band T-Shirts

I thoroughly enjoy seeing Marc Wieland bash the drums when I attend an Autograph concert! He just makes it look like so much fun. And this is exactly how we’re meant to live life…with passion.

My friends and clients rib me because at age 55 I still go to the concerts of my favorite bands from my youth. And no, I don’t wait for them to come to a venue near me, I hop on a plane, or jump in the car and drive quite a distance to see them. This is called PASSION. I love music and the people who create it. In fact, someone at my gym stopped me recently to ask a question. He very politely queried, “I can’t help but notice that you wear a band t-shirt everyday and sometimes a hat, too. How many music-related t-shirts do you own, if you don’t mind me asking?”

I don’t mind anyone asking me about music!

I responded to my gym mate with “Quite a few and you haven’t seen all of them. I also collect the shirts in XL and XXL to sleep in. Essentially, I sleep with a different rockstar every night.”

Back to the topic of passion…not the bedroom kind…but the life kind. Passion is a powerful emotion; that is its literal definition, and we can be passionate about all sorts of things: sports, food, cars, learning, entertainment, people, careers…you name it. Our soul is the car and passion is the gasoline. Passion is what fuels the inner us. Living without passion is synonymous to a rusted junker of a car propped up by cinder blocks on a lawn overgrown with weeds.

The beauty of it all is that it is your choice whether you live a life filled with passion, or not. It’s up to you to create that kind of lifestyle. People do it everyday. Just ask Marc Wieland, but he probably won’t hear you over the drum-bashing.
